Halva By Pretty Shiva Teimouri
1 cup of ground skinned almonds
1 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup white flour
3 eggs
Rose water to taste (2-3 tsp)
1/4 tsp of baking powder (could use 1/2 tsp if you want it to rise
more)
1tsp cardamom
Beat together eggs, butter, sugar. Then add the ground almonds, rose
water, cardamom and baking powder. Fold in flour.
Heat oven to 350 degrees cook until looks ready
Syrup for top:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Tsp rose water
(Can also add cardamom if you like more of that flavor)
Boil/summer the sugar and water until it becomes thick and like a
syrup.
When the cake is done cut it the way you like it and pour the syrup on
top. Make sure it is evenly distributed.
Sprinkle ground pistachios on top.
